Privacy Policy

Your practice stays yours. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: January 2026

1. Data we collect

We collect the information you provide during setup—role, level, job context, and optional resume or job posting text. During an interview, we process your transcript and task output to generate feedback. We do not record or store raw video by default.

2. How we use your data

Your data is used to conduct practice interviews, generate evidence-based feedback, and improve your experience. We do not use your data to make employment decisions or predict hiring outcomes.

3. Raw video and derived signals

Browser-side computer vision is the default. Raw video is not stored. Derived signals are minimized, purpose-limited, and governed by an explicit retention policy. You can practice without a camera where the format permits.

4. AI processing

SkillPrep uses AI to conduct practice interviews and generate feedback. AI access goes through a provider abstraction with independently configurable models. We do not infer confidence, deception, mental state, or cultural fit.

5. Data retention

Session transcripts and derived feedback are retained according to a published retention policy. You may request deletion of your data subject to legal and operational requirements.

6. Security

Authentication is server-side with secure cookies. We validate authorization for every protected action. Sensitive changes require reauthentication. We never log authorization headers, session tokens, or raw media.

7. Your rights

You may review, correct, or request deletion of supported profile data. Sensitive changes require appropriate reauthentication. Contact support to exercise your data rights.
